Is it for me?

If you have dreamt of flying solo and are looking for an adventurous weekend break aimed at giving you a taste of free-flight this course is for you.
Am I eligible to do it?

Anyone above 16 years of age can register for this course provided you do not have a previous history of heart disease, major back ailments or blackouts.
Reasonable physical fitness is an asset, although a sportive attitude would hold you in good stead too.

No previous flight experience needed.
I've been flying for for 9 years with Nirvana Adventures. I've been with them on flying trips to Goa, Kerela and Billing. I have been able to pursue this wonderful sport because they do what they do and I am grateful.

What do I learn from it?

This course is designed for those interested in a one time solo flying experience.

Day 1 will see you kiting the glider and understanding the basics.

Day 2 will have you skimming the slopes.

Day 3 will be reserved for as many solos as your energies and the wind
gods permit.

“When I grown up, I want to be a pilot. I will fly you to Hong Kong", I would say these words to everyone when I was a kid! And guess what I did this Christmas vacations? I went for a Paragliding camp to Nirvana Adventures, Kamshet near Lonavala for five days.

On the first day, I started of with ground handling where I learnt to handle the glider on the ground. On the second day I was doing bunny hops which are small low flights with radio instruction for ten to fifteen seconds from the training hill. The exciting part was that you go solo right from the start!
