Nirvana Adventures and the Art of Tandem Paragliding
It is our endeavor to make your tandem paragliding experience a special one. Read this to understand what to expect from this adventure.
- On booking a tandem paragliding joyride we will give you a time (either 8 to 9 in the morning or 3 pm in the afternoon), depending on the time of the year and the site we are flying at) to meet us at a particular flying site. Detailed directions make your travel up to Kamshet and the flying site smooth sailing.
- On any given day we may have students, visiting pilots as well as other tandem passengers. Depending on the wind conditions the instructor will decide on who goes first / how the day is going to progress. When it is time for you to fly, the pilot will help you into your gear and brief you about what to expect and what is expected of you. He then waits for the right wind, inflate the wing and within a few short steps you will be airborne.

Without any training or experience you can enjoy the experience of flying like a pro for ten minutes or more, thanks to an experienced tandem pilot, state of the art equipment and breathtaking sites. Let the pilot do the work while you enjoy the ride, savoring the amazing experience of soaring over beautiful hills and fields like an eagle high up in the sky.

Nirvana Tandem Paragliding FAQs
Find answers to all your questions and know what is expected of you when you enter our paragliding world.
What is tandem paragliding?
Tandem flights use a wing large enough to hold two people, a pilot / instructor and a passenger. Each person has their own harness, which are attached together, with the passenger in front, and the pilot right behind.
How long / high does one fly?
The flight lasts 10 minutes- the experience is breathtaking and will seem timeless like a dream.
How young / light do I have to be?
Age is not a bar, as long as you are game for a little uphill exercise and weigh between 25 and 95 kilograms. Minors need permission from accompanying parents.
Do I need to be fit?
You don’t need to be fit or sporty but a little bit of exercise is called for which depending on the site may include a 10 minute uphill climb.
How safe is it?
Safety is our main consideration and we take a number of steps to ensure your safety and our own. Our pilots are well trained and have numerous years of experience flying these sites and assessing the weather conditions here. We use the latest state of the art equipment. We will not hesitate to cancel a flight in case of bad weather. We have not had a single accident so far but risks should always be assumed. After all it is an adventure sport.
How much time do we need to set aside for the experience?
Set aside half a day from the time you get to the site.
The process of meeting the crew, walking up to the site, watching the wind, the students on the ground, pilots and vultures circling in the air, the beautiful scenery, then the anticipation before your own flight and finally the wonder and excitement that comes after takes an entire half day.
What happens if the wind is not right?
In the rare event that you do not fly, we will reschedule your flight.
Is there any site etiquette to follow?
Keep the takeoff clear and follow the tandem pilots instructions, please don’t litter and take your plastic back with you, be courteous to the farmers and avoid walking through planted fields.
Is there a weekend package that includes stay?
Yes we do have a tandem weekend package that includes dorm accommodation at the Native Place guesthouse food and a tandem ride. Mail us for details.
Cost for a 10 minute tandem flight is Rupees 1500/-
Price applicable to Indian nationals only.

Safety is our main concern and we are reliant on good weather conditions for safe progression of individuals in their training or tandem flights.
The length of your flight may vary from a sled run to an extended soaring flight.
Incase conditions are not favorable we may need to reschedule your flight.
Vouchers have a life and must be used in the stated time frames. No cash refunds on flight monies.
