Nirvana Adventures holds a special position of being the oldest and most reputed paragliding school in India conducting full time residential paragliding courses since 97’.

Instructions at the flying siteSyllabus: We follow a planned system of training based on the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (BHPA) standard operating procedures and pilot proficiency systems modified to suit to our geography and weather.

Instruction: We maintain a 3:1 student instructor ratio to ensure quality instruction. We put you through the paces keeping your level of fitness, comfort and progress in mind. Radio contact as you launch, fly and land accompany you throughout all of your training flights. Theory and audio visual training sessions take place at our base Native Place. Our emphasis is on getting people to enjoy the sport and fly safely.

Equipment: We provide you with the paraglider, harness, helmet and radio - keeping your weight range and course level in mind, a set of equipment are reserved for your exclusive use during training. No special clothing is required although we stress that you wear sturdy long pants, long sleeve shirts and comfortable running shoes that provide some ankle support.

For those who want to fly solo but don’t have two weekends to spare.

Elementary Pilot (EP)
5 day course

If you have the desire to learn how to fly this course is for you. It is ideal for the enthusiastic first timer.

Club Pilot (CP)
5 day course

once you complete your Elementary Pilot course you are guaranteed to want to expand your horizons and soar freely like a bird.



Introductory Paragliding ‘2’ day program
Pilot Rating: None

Eligibility: Age 12 years and over and weight 40 kilos and over

Paragliding student


Course curriculum:

  • Forward launch technique
  • Ground handling
  • Low level flights
  • Course correction
  • Maintaining airspeed
  • Landing & post landing procedure
  • Site assessment
  • Audio video interactive sessions

Course description: Conducted under very controlled conditions this course is designed to give you an understanding of the inherent simplicity of this sport. The highlight of the course is several low altitude flights (bunny hops) off the bottom slopes of the training hill. It is presented as a fun weekend in the great outdoors.

Course Package: The above course package includes equipment usage, instruction and radio supervision.

Course Fee: Rs. 6,500 / (prices for Indian Nationals only)



Achieving Free Flight Program ‘3 day course’
Pilot Rating: None

Eligibility: Anyone above 16 years of age can register for this course provided you do not have a previous history of heart disease, major back ailments or blackouts. Reasonable physical fitness is an asset although a sportive attitude would hold you in good stead too. No previous flight experience needed.

Course description: Day one will see you kiting the glider and understanding the basics, day 2 will have you skimming the slopes and day 3 will be reserved for as many solos as your energies and the wind gods permit

Number of flights – 3 to 5

Course Package: The above course package includes equipment usage (a set of equipment is allotted for your exclusive use during training), course materials, instruction and radio supervision.

Next step: If this course leaves you longing for more we offer you the flexibility of upgrading to the Elementary Pilot Course

Course Fee: Rs. 9,500 / (prices for Indian Nationals only)



Elementary Pilot (EP) - ‘5 day course’
(can be completed over two weekends)
Pilot Rating: 'Student Pilot'

Eligibility: Anyone above 16 years of age can register for this course provided you do not have a previous history of heart disease, major back ailments or blackouts. Reasonable physical fitness is an asset although a sportive attitude would hold you in good stead too. No previous flight experience required.

  • Airspeed control
  • Meteorology, site & weather assessment
  • Principles of flight
  • Rules of the air
  • Altitude flights
  • Introduction to soaring flight
  • Theory and audio visual interactive sessions
  • Multiple choice written examination.

Course description: Practical training covers a large part of this course. After hours of closely supervised ground training you proceed to do a number of low level flights that build confidence and judgment. You then progress to a number of higher flights radio supervised by your instructor.

Number of flights – 10

Course Package: The above course package includes equipment usage (a set of equipment is allotted for your exclusive use during training), course materials, instruction and radio supervision.

Next step: By the end of this course you will have logged a significant number of flights and will be longing for more duration flights. The Club Pilot course is designed to keep you soaring.

Course Fee: Rs. 14,500 / (prices for Indian Nationals only)



Club Pilot (CP) - ‘5 day course’
(can be completed over two weekends)
Pilot Rating: 'Club Pilot'

Eligibility: An elementary pilot course done in the recent past in any part of the world & a log of flights & tasks completed

Ground handling the paraglider wing

Course description: This course is designed to keep you soaring for extended periods, hone your skills in the air and refresh and expand your understanding of site assessment & weather assessment, meteorology, flight planning, Rules of the Air and safety. Radio supervision is provided for your comfort and safety. The emphasis here is to get you comfortable in the air on your own as pilot in command. Radio supervision is provided for your comfort and safety.

Number of flights – 10

Course Package: The above course package includes equipment usage (a set of equipment is allotted for your exclusive use during training), course materials, instruction and radio supervision.

Next step: By the end of this course you should be confident to fly and practice without direct instructor supervision but within significant operating limitations. You have the added status of 'Weekend Recreational Pilot'. You are now eligible to hire a wing and fly with us whenever you choose.

Course Fee: Rs. 14,500 / (prices for Indian Nationals only)



Please note: We are conservative in our training programs and teaching on bunny slopes, tandem flights or High mountain sites is done only in Ideal conditions. Safety is our main concern and we are reliant on good weather conditions for safe progression of individuals in their training. Our area is fortunate enough to have the best all year round climate in the country with light to moderate winds most of the year round, so fly able days are plentiful.

WE FLY and TEACH all year round. No other school in the country can honestly say they do the same!
