37 kids boarded a bus in the morning from Mumbai and drove up to the serene Native Place Guesthouse at Kamshet, to experience the joy of flight and adventure.
After refreshments they were divided into teams to tackle the low ropes course team building challenge: a series of cables, ropes, and obstacles strung between trees or poles, 12 to 18 inches above the ground, students had to work together to traverse this course as a team. The program tests, agility, balance, flexibility while encouraging team work and problem solving.
The kids then tucked into a tasty nutritious meal made with local ingredients after which the group made their way to the Shelar Paragliding Site for the long-awaited tandem paragliding joyrides. The children were very excited about flying like birds and the Nirvana Adventures pilots ensured that they got their wish. Finally as the sun dipped in the western sky, the tandem paragliding rides completed, the kids and their teachers boarded the bus once more and made their way back to the city after their big outdoor adventure.
"To fly free like a bird is humans oldest dream. For the DBIS students this dream came true as the students had an opportunity to do paragliding with Nirvana Adventures at Kamshet, Maharashtra. The kids had a gala time on this field trip. They enjoyed climbing on the trees, the low ropes course activity and paragliding was unanimously the highlight of the day. Thank you, Nirvana Adventures."- Gladys Gonsalves, Matunga, Mumbai
